Southwest Athletic Club Names Its 2008 Coaching Staff
Seattle, WA – January 15, 2008 - The Southwest Athletic Club (SWAC) announced its roster of coaches for the 2008 season. Campion Fellin was unanimously selected president of the coaches association. Fellin announced the balance of the coaching staff as follows:
Pee Wees: Taryll Calhoun – Head Coach
Midgets: Virgil Riley – Head Coach
Lee Newgent
Bantams: Eric Larse – Head Coach

Fellin expressed his satisfaction with the staff to date, “This is an excellent group of coaches, and we look forward to a positive season serving the youth of our community.” He added, “There still is a need for additional coaches, and I encourage anyone interested joining our excellent coaching staff to contact me through SWAC.”

Southwest Athletic Club Sets Fees For The 2009 Season
Seattle, WA – March 17, 2009 - The Southwest Athletic Club (SWAC) announced its particpation fees for 2010. Fees for football is $175, and $175 for cheer - cheer will include a 25 gear deposit. Familes with more than one child participating recive a $25 discount for each additional child.
Eric Larse the SWAC board president says the new fee schedule is SWAC's way of assiting familes in these current economic times, “we understand many familes are concerned about the economy, and reducing our fees was one way to keep SWAC afordable to as many children as possible.” He added, "payment plans are accepted as well."

Southwest Athletic Club announce early registration for the 2009 season.
Seattle, WA – March 17, 2009 - The Southwest Athletic Club (SWAC) announced early registration for its 2010 youth football and cheer season on:
April 17th
12:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
Additonal registration dates are May 1 and June 5 at the same times.
Registration will be held at:

Registration fees for cheer is $175, and football $175.

Southwest Athletic Club Receives Hope for Youth Grant.
Seattle, WA – June 23, 2009 - The Southwest Athletic Club (SWAC) today announced its is receiving a $1,500 grant from the Seattle Parks and Recreation “Hope for Youth Grant Fund”. Dave Gilbertson of Seattle Parks and Recreation informed SWAC, “I am pleased to inform you that the South West Athletics Club has been selected to receive $1,500.00 in grant funding to help ensure that many of Seattle’s children will have the opportunity to participate in sports programs this summer.” The 2009 Hope for Youth Grant Fund received 30 proposals from various organizations requesting 168,880.
Lee Newgent SWAC Board President accepted the grant commenting. “This financial aid will fund participation for 10 children in need, and allow SWAC to keep these kids active in a positive and productive activity teaching them as much about life skills as football.”
SWAC will be offering needs based financial aid for the up coming season. For information on a financial aid application contact SWAC.

Southwest Athletic Club Names Its 2010 Board
Seattle, WA – December 16, 2009 - The Southwest Athletic Club (SWAC) announced the formation of its board for the 2010 season. Eric Larse was named Board President. Newgent replaces Lee Newgent who served the organization for many years. “On behalf of the board, and the entire organization,” says Larse, “I want to thank Lee for his dedication and hard work for the youth of our community, adn we look forward to his continued involvement in the organization.”
Joining Mr. Larse, Eric Larse on the executive commitee are Vickie Jimenez (Treasurer), Dave Wyatt (League Rep.), and Virgil Riley (Presdient of Coaches).
